William Riakos brings two decades of commercial management and disputes experience across A$8B+ in major infrastructure and building projects — UK, Middle East, and Australia — to Australian contractors and principals.

Background

William Riakos has spent 20 years resolving complex construction disputes across the UK, Middle East, and Australia.

His project experience spans the World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi, Cat-A commercial offices for British Land (NEQ District) and Greycoat (Crown Place) in London, Grade II heritage conversions in Knightsbridge, PPP hospitals, university campuses, motorway tunnels, marine dredging and reclamation, theme parks, cement manufacturing facilities, wind farms, and high-end residential developments.

He holds an MSc in Construction Law from King's College London and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the Society of Construction Law.

Prior to founding Riakos Consulting, William held commercial and disputes roles at EC Harris and Davis Langdon (now Arcadis and AECOM respectively).
